Nothing’s Better Than Chocolate Seashell | Casually Crafting
Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. Thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay here, with the Casually Crafting blog hop sharing an all occasions card. I am sharing a chocolate seashell card idea. Using Nothing’s Better Than with Friends Are Like Seashells coloured in Stampin’ Blends markers.
The Casually Crafting Design Team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that enjoy sharing projects ideal for casual crafters. It’s a STEP UP from simple stamping, quick and easy projects for beginners. We hop every 3rd Saturday of the month and the theme for December is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
I opted for the top left to bottom right diagonal line; White, Vellum & Gold. Looking at these elements, I immediately thought of a CAS (Clean And Simple) card. It’s ideal for Christmas cards but I wanted the extra challenge! I ended up using a previously coloured seashell and finally created a chocolate card idea I’ve had. Can you guess which brand inspired my card?

How To Create A Chocolate Seashell Guylian Card
- Fold card base in half and burnish with Bone Folder.
- Add a small dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on each corner of the Vellum and at the centre, then adhere Layer 1 on the card front.
- Stamp the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider ink on Layer 2 Basic White card.
- Adhere the Brushed Metallic strip just above the stamped sentiment, then add both pieces on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the shell in Soft Suede ink on another piece of Basic White card. Colour the image using the following Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers: Bronze / Ivory, Cinnamon Cider and Color Lifter.
- Fussy cut the shell using Paper Snips then adhere flat on the topper.
- Heat emboss the sentiment on Basic White card using Versamark ink, Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (from Metallics Embossing Powder Set) and a Heat Tool.
- Fussy cut the sentiment using Paper Snips again then adhere using Mini Glue Dots.
- Finish the card with Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.
I hope you enjoyed this card inspired by the Tic Tac Toe. Which elements would you have chosen? Continue along the hop to see which ones the other Design Team member have used.
