Masculine Mountain Air Cards with Soft Pastels
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here, for this month’s Creating Kindness blog hop. The theme is Summer Fun and I have created a 2 masculine cards with Soft Pastels.
Creating Kindness Design Team
Our special guest designer this month is Leena Girsa of A La Cards from Canada. If you’re following the hop already, you may have arrived here from Sense of Whimsy by the talented Cheryl Miller. Do hop around to check out Leena’s wonderful project and the rest of the Creating Kindness Design Team from the links at the end of this post.
The Summer Fun theme made me reminince of our first summer cruise to Norway. I wanted to recreate the beautiful mountains as we pass through the fjords.
Masculine Cards with Soft Pastels
We recently got these new colouring tools and I have been enjoying playing around with them. It can be a messy medium with the excess powders. But you can also use the Soft Pastels to add subtle colours and blending to your handmade cards.
My first card uses soft pastels blending with Sponge Daubers to create the mountain scene. I also used Days To Remember Stamp Set to for the sentiment and add interest to the background.

Stamping And Soft Pastels
For my 2nd card, I CASEd one of my recent card layout from our YouTube livestream. I am also sharing another use for the Soft Pastels in your card making. You can add colours to stamped images with the help of a Versamark Ink Pad!
The trees were coloured with Granny Apple Green soft pastel. I shaved off some powders on a scrap paper then used a Sponge Dauber to apply on the stamped images. The sentiment was done in the same way and I also blended the powder on the card layer to add the Night of Navy colour.
I hope you enjoyed these cards and my take on the Summer Fun theme this month. Be sure to continue along the hop for more inspirations from the Creating Kindness Design Team. Don’t forget to come back and order your Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts UK.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
