How To Make A Card with Stampin’ Up! Bird’s Eye View
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK and the Stamp Review Crew blog hop. It’s Jay Soriano here with card ideas using Bird’s Eye View stamp set.
Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set
There’s nothing like the sweet sound of a bird singing to boost someone’s day. Use the Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set to do just that! With this stamp set, you can create your own aviary for the centrepiece of any card making project. The set includes five different bird images in a variety of sizes. Add quirky details to the birds using the monocle or eyeglasses stamps. Perch your birds on the top of a stack of books or a tree branch, also included the set. These stamps will work with any of our colouring tools so you can add a plethora of colour however you want. Pair with your favourite sentiments to complete your projects.
For both my projects, I coloured the birds and books in Stampin’ Blends then fussy cut to add to my cards.
Biggest Thanks Bird’s Eye View Card
For my first card, I used the Thanks sentiment from Biggest Wish. To make it look three dimensional, I stamped first in Memento, then off set in Gray Granite. I also joined the edges with Stampin’ Blends in the same colour.
How To Make A Simple Thank You Card with Bird’s Eye View
- Adhere a strip of Merry Bold & Bright DSP next to the card spine
- Stamp the sentiment twice on Basic White layer, off setting the 2nd one in a lighter colour and join the edges with stampin’ Blends for a 3D look
- Stack the Stampin’ Blends coloured books and birds above the sentiment
- Stamp the stars (from the Disco Ball in Curved Occasions set) in Pool Party around
- Add the layer on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish
Any Occasion Bird’s Eye View Card
For my 2nd card, I didn’t add any sentiment which makes the card ideal for any occasion. I stepped it up with more layers, including a Distressed Tile embossed layer. This layer was also enhanced by adding hints of Gold Metallic Effects.
The topper was actually a tag I created for a recent Team Gathering, showcasing In Color Treat Bags. I turned it into a topper to house the sweet bird in the centre.
I hope you’re inspired with these projects and add coloured images in your next project.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
