Robot Buddies Card Kit
We enjoyed playing with the Robot Buddies Card Kit last weekend for The Creative Craft Show in Farnborough, Hampshire. It’s such a cool kit with pre-cut pieces, stickers and googly eyes! The simple photo instructions are easy to follow, plus there’s also a QR code if you wish to watch a video.
We made the pre designed cards for our boards and demonstrated how to create alternative toppers with left over pieces. Ink blending and the Stamp Off techniques features in all toppers which were finished and made into cards after the show.
Let’s Be Friends Robot Card
I did a bit of masking using scrap paper and Pumpkin Pie ink to ground the stamped robot. For the added details on the top right corner, I stamped the small cogs repeatedly. I then ink blended the same colour and added Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi. To finish, I dotted white Pearlised Enamel Effects around the card front as well as for the eyes.

The 2 cogs stamp designs from the kit are great for creating backgrounds! The Stamp Off technique in Bermuda Bay adds dimension to the card front. I then ink blended Parakeet Party and made use of the left over robot stickers for the focal point on this 2nd card. Those googly eyes are just so much fun!

There were a few more stickers left over from the kit which I used for the 3rd card. Before adding these on the card front though I stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment. This helps fill the white space around which I couldn’t just leave blank.
After ink blending, I used a Sponge Dauber to apply white Pearlised Enamel Effects Basics through one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. This left shiny details around the background which reminds me a little of steel floors but in orange 😀 I also dotted the PEEBs like in the 1st card to finish.
