Amazing Silhouettes Ideas for Stamp Review Crew
Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here sharing card ideas with Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop.
I’m excited to be starting this blog hop for the crew. But if you’re following the hop already, you may have arrived here from Betty Traciak’s Kitty Stamps blog. Either way, be sure to hop all the way around by clicking the ‘Next Blog’ button at the end of this blog post for more inspirations with the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set.
Amazing Silhouettes
Get back to nature with the nature-inspired images in the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set. Create beautiful silhouettes in one simple step. Use one colour to make a bold impression or multiple colours for an ombre look. These lovely images are perfect for a tag or a card.
Amazing Silhouettes Butterfly
For my first card I stamped the butterfly design repeatedly along the layer in Soft Sea Foam ink. I then added Clear Wink of Stella on 1 of them and cut around the wings using a craft knife. This allowed the wings to be lifted and create dimension on the card.
Under the lifted wings, I adhered Heart & Home DSP for added interest. I also fed through Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and the Black & White Baker’s Twine before embellishing with the gold accents from Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack. Then finished with the trimmed sentiment from Sunny Sentiments and Holiday Rhinestones.
Amazing Silhouettes Bundle
The Amazing Thanks Dies currently comes as a bundle with the stamp set with 10% saving. So I wanted to use one of the word dies for my 2nd card. I stamped the leaves design in Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue. Then coloured with Clear Wink of Stella before cutting with an oval die.
Originally, I wanted the ovals separated but the stamped design made them look like Easter eggs. Hence the slanted ovals on both sides. And the die cut amazing word in Daffodil Delight on Basic White.
The torn strip of tissue actually comes from the ephemera pack! It separated each sheets of the laser cut accents. So instead of Vellum I made use of the tissue to help the die cut sentiment to stand out.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects. Don’t forget to come back and order any Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
