The Spot Creative Challenge #163
The Spot design team creates Stampin’ Up! inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Tuesday. It’s a card sketch this week, so use the image below as a starting point for your project. Get creative and join us by submitting your greetings card on The Spot blog.
The split layout on the background inspired my project. I also used pattern papers for easy decoration and fast construction so this card is ideal fro beginners and casual crafters.
Split Die Cut Technique
This is a quick technique to get a different look from your die cuts. You will use 2 die cuts of the detailed flowers from Penned Flowers Dies in contrasting colours. Stack them together and then snip in half! You can also use a paper cutter/guillotine to help get a straight cut line.
Or place both coloured cardstock side by side on your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then cut the design across both cards in one go!
