Stamping Sunday Blog Hop ~ Rectangle Stitched Cards
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop with the theme of All Stitched Up. We are showcasing the varieties of stitched dies by Stampin’ Up! and how to use them in your crafting. I opted to use the Stitched Rectangle Dies for my 2 card ideas I am sharing today.

Stitched Rectangle Dies
A must have in your stash! There are 13 dies in the set which adds stitching details to both the inside and outside of the die cuts. I paired it with the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper as well as the Quiet Meadow Bundle.
Thinking of You Horizontal Panels
For my first card, I die cut 3 DSP panels and applied Soft Sea Foam ink. This was achieved by pressing the ink pad straight on top of each panels. I added a layer of Evening Evergreen card to frame the panels then adhered on the Misty Moonlight card base using Dimensionals.
The Meadow Dies actually has a stitched label design which I also used to add the banner detail. I also tied the Basic White Baker’s Twine through the loops. Then I splattered Clear Wink of Stella before finishing with the sentiment in StazOn and Gilded Gems.
Thinking Of You Vertical Panels
For my 2nd card, I stepped it up a little bit more by adding stitched layers to each vertical panels. I also extended a DSP off cut by die cutting in half then aligning the stitched edges along the Soft Sea Foam card base edges. The panels were adhered on another piece of Basic White to keep the placement then on the card front using Dimensionals.
To add texture I curled the panel edges and corners. I also added the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon, Gold Foil stitched detail and the wood DSP design.
Another way of adding interest to the die cut was by stamping the splatter design in Soft Sea Foam and Clear Wink Of Stella. I then finished with the sentiment (added using folded Mini Glue Dots) and the Gilded Gems.
