Vintage Look with Hand-Penned Neutral Floral Card
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here with a neutral card idea for The Spot creative challenge using Hand-Penned Flowers from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.
The Spot Creative Challenge #162
The Spot design team creates Stampin’ Up! inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Tuesday. We are CASEing Maheswari Rajaguru this week and I added the project from her My Stamp Garden blog that I took inspiration from.
Hand-Penned Neutral Card
You may already know that I am loving the Hand-Penned at the moment and wanted to create more samples with the bundle. I took the neutral colours, layers and texture from Maheswari’s card to inspire my project below.
How To Make A Hand-Penned Floral Neutral Card
- Emboss the front of the Sahara Sand card base using Bard 3D Embossing Folder.
- Stamp the large and medium flower fill designs in Soft Succulent ink on Sahara Sand cards.
- Stamp the small leaf design in Evening Evergreen ink then emboss with the Bark design.
- Blend Crumb Cake ink around the edges using Blending Brushes then layer on Very Vanilla cards using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Add the 2 toppers on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the Just Jade card strip and Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim.
- Die cut the detailed floral in Hand-Penned DSP and fill design in Basic Black card. Adhere all die cuts using Mini Glue Dots.
- Stamp the sentiment in Memento ink on Sahara Sand card then punch with the Rectangle Postage Stamp design. Add on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Finish your handmade neutral floral card with the Evening Evergreen In Color Jewels.

I love vintage-looking cards so much and I haven’t made one in quite a long time. Your card is so gorgeous–it has inspired me to give it a go soon. It has been added to my To Do List. :-).
