TGCDT: May 2021 ~ Hand-Penned Projects

Hello & welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. Thanks for stopping by for The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team May inspiration hop. Today we are sharing a couple of projects using the Hand-Penned Petals & Penned Flowers Bundle.

The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team (#TGCDT) are a group of male crafters. Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that love to share our creative side with you every 2nd Friday of each month. Hand-Penned Projects

We’ve started demonstrating with this gorgeous floral bundle on our YouTube channel this week. The hand drawn images can easily be coloured with the filler stamps or using your favourite colouring medium. For today’s hop, we are sharing a casual crafter card and a gift tag showcasing different ways to use the fill stamps.

How To Make A Floral Thank You Card with Hand-Penned

This card uses 2 filler stamps on the topper, stepped up slightly with the use of an embossing folder and fussy cut sentiment.

1. Emboss Basic White Layer 1 on the left hand side with Meadow Moments then adhere flat on the card front.
2. Stamp the ‘grass & stems’ fill stamps in Granny Apple Green ink along the bottom of the Basic White Layer 3.
3. Stamp the medium flower filler design 3 times in Magenta Madness ink then adhere flat on the Sahara Sand Layer 2.
4. Adhere both layers on the card front using dimensionals.
5. Add a folded Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and a Linen Thread bow using Mini Glue Dots towards the top left of the topper.
6. Stamp the sentiment in Memento ink then fussy cut with Paper Snips to finish the card.

Gift Tag with Flowers coloured in Stampin’ Blends

The same colours were used for this gift tag with the addition of Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. The ‘grass & stems’ design was used to stamp around the edges for an interesting border. And the Sahara Sand base was punched with the Detailed Trio design to round the top edges. As well as to add the hole for the ribbon.

The floral design was stamped in Memento then coloured in the following alcohol markers: Fresh Freesia, Magenta Madness, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Granny Apple Green. We did leave this tag blank so it can be personalised when needed.
