New Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Projects ~ On The Ocean
Hi it’s Jay Soriano here, welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. I am sharing my Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team monthly projects featuring the On The Ocean Bundle.
On The Ocean Bundle
Transform beautiful ocean ship images into adventure-filled cards with the On the Ocean Bundle! With this bundle, you get the best of both worlds—realistically detailed images AND playfully fun shapes!
Inspired by ghost pirate ships, I created 2 card projects using the following products which are available from our Stampin’ Up! Online Shop.

Happy Birthday Card with Pirate Ship
For this ink blended night at sea scene, I added a glow of Granny Apple Green then applied Coastal Cabana, Starry Sky and Night of Navy Ink. I used a wave offcut as a stencil for the sea and stamped the birds and clouds.
I added a circle die cut Vellum, embossed with Painted Texture for the ‘moon’. Which I inserted around the detailed die cut then placed the white embossed sentiment on top.
To finish, I splattered Craft White Ink using an old Clear Wink of Stella brush then added the white Enamel Dot Essentials.
Die Cut Ship Card with By The Bay
The die cut ship is larger than I thought it would be measuring at 2-5/8″ x 4″ (6.5cm x 10cm). So I decided to use a 5″ x 5″ card base (12.6cm x 12.6cm).
The By The Bay DSP is perfect for this bundle! One of my favourite design is the gold foil fishes which I used for the background.
I ink blended Tahitian Tide around the edges and stamped the decorative waves in the corners. A mat of Basic Gray was adhered then I wrapped the wavy die cut Vellum and white Baker’s Twine. Which was great to add the black embossed ship’s wheel and die cut crossbones skull on.
I finished with another white embossed sentiment, this time on Night of Navy card followed by 3 Enamel Dots Essentials.
