12 Weeks of Christmas Ideas #05

This bright red square Christmas card was designed by Danielle Bennenk. Using the Cottage Wreaths Bundle with ink blended background plus Jay’s favourite PEEBs!

Cottage Wreaths Christmas Card

Measurements

• Real Red Cardbase: 10,5 x 21 cm / 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″
• Basic White Layer 1: 10 x 10cm / 4″x4″
• Evening Evergreen Layer 2: 10 x 10 cm / 4″ x 4″
• Real Red Layer 3: 9,5 x 9,5 cm / 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″

12 Weeks of Christmas Ideas #05 Tutorial

1. Fold Real Red Cardstock cardbase in half and burnish fold.
2. Adhere Basic White Cardstock layer to the inside of the cardbase with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
3. Use some washi tape to stick Real Red Cardstock on a piece of grid paper. Add the Artistic Mix Decorative Mask with the large squares on top of the cardstock layer and keep into place with some washi tape. Use Blending Brush and Real Red ClassicStampin’Inktocreate thebackground.Seepicture.
4. Remove mask with large squares and add the mask with the small squares on top of the cardstock layer. Keep into place with some washi tape. Use Blending Brush and Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Ink to create extra squares on the background.
5. Remove mask and let layer air dry for a couple of minutes. Use that time to clean the used masks with some warm water and a towel.
6. Adhere inked card layer to Evening Evergreen Cardstock layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
7. Stamp wreath image with Evening Evergreen Classic Stampin’ Ink and the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock.
8. Fussy cut the sentiment.
9. Die-cut the stamped wreath and a bow from a scrap of Real Red Cardstock with the Country Wreaths Dies.
10. Adhere wreath die-cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto inked card layer.
11. Adhere fussy cut sentiments to the inside of the wreath with pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
12. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere a Textural Element to the wreath.
13. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the Textural Element.
14. Adhere the card layers to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
15. Use the Real Red Pearlized Enamel Effects to add ‘berries’ on the wreath.
16. Use the White Pearlized Enamel Effects on the Textural Element. Beware: Let the Pearlized Enamel Effects dry completely before sending it.
