Simply Succulents in Watercolor Pencils
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here with my DT card for The Spot creative challenge using the NEW Simply Succulents Stamp Set from January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue.
The Spot Creative Challenge #144
The Spot design team creates Stampin’ Up! inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Tuesday. The theme this week is Designer’s Choice so join in the fun and enter your project that showcases your best work.
Simply Succulents
Barry and I have been playing with the Simply Succulents and demonstrated how to colour them in Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils over on our YouTube channel. For this card I made use of the large image from the stamp set coloured with Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2.
I experimented with different colour combinations and used 3-4 colours per succulent. To create more of a 3 Dimensional look, I used either Night of Navy or Gorgeous Grape for the shading.
For the background I embossed Smoky Slate strip with another new product from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I also snipped into the large detailed die cut from Potted Succulents before finishing with the fussy cut sentiment and Gilded Gems.
