Repeat Stamping with Piece of Cake Card Idea

The Spot design team creates Stampin Up inspirations and weekly card making challenges every Tuesday. It’s a “Not Yo’ Momma’s Card” Theme this week, which is card designs you wouldn’t give to your mum.
Piece of Cake Card with Repeat Stamping
I opted to create a fun repeat stamping background with the use of the Stamparatus Hinge Step technique – one of my favourites! I used Pool Party ink so it doesn’t over power the focal cake and stand.
The Stamparatus is a cool stamping tool and easy to use for any card maker level. I stamped the cake background repeatedly before adhering on the Smoky Slate card base.
The Pool Party frame is actually a topper with the middle torn off! It’s from the retiring Stitched Labels Dies which comes with 10 dies that allows you to create card elements with a stitched look.
I stamped another cake design in Bermuda Bay and coloured in between with Grapefruit Grove using Aqua Painters. For the stand, I stamped on Smoky Slate card in Memento before punching both elements with the Cake Builder Punch.
I looped the Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine in the frame to be able to tie a bow then added the sentiment on Mini Dimensionals. Finishing the card with some bling with the Rhinestones Basic Jewels.
