Swirly Frames consists of 9 photopolymer stamps. It isn’t the most exciting set but is essential for your cardmaking and a great way to create geometric backgrounds. I decided to pair it with the new Happy Birthday To You Sale-A-Bration 2020 stamp set to create a couple of projects for today.
Swirly Frames with Happy Birthday To You
I am loving the flower decorated cake from the Happy Birthday To You set as it is a good size to colour for toppers! For my first project it was coloured in Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends Combo.
I made use of the large frame stamp to frame the Parisian Flourish embossed Petal Pink cardstock that was also die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Die.
The Basic Gray strip adds another layer which showcases 3 of the line stamps from Swirly Frames. This was achieved using the Hinge Step Technique on the Stamparatus and lining up the card at a slight angle.
I left the card without a sentiment to be personalised in the future and finished off with the Seaside Spray Faceted Dots as well as Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers.
Celebrate Swirly Frames
For my second project I created a matching tag. I used the 3 Swirly Frames line stamps which were on the Stamparatus still for the Whisper White background.
The topper this time, I wanted to concentrate on the flowers. I stamped on another Whisper White card in Memento Ink and used the same colours as before. By tracing around the images with Light Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends, I used it as a guide when fussy cutting.
Using the Detailed Trio Punch allows the Flax Ribbon tails and bows to be added. I then stamped the sentiment on Petal Pink card and stuck on the tag before adhering the flowers with Dimensionals. To finish off, I added the Pretty Peacock Faceted Dot and Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers, the same as the card.
I do hope you enjoyed these projects. Don’t forget to come back and order any Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team.
