3 Card Making Ideas with Baby Swipe Technique
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. We are sharing 3 different cards with the Baby Swipe Technique samples we created during one of our live videos for your card making inspiration.
Baby Swipe Thank You Card
This sample is so colourful and vibrant we just wanted to keep it simple by adding the Thank You sentiment and Iridescent Sequin Assortment to embellish.
Before adhering on the card base, the Baby Wipe sample was run through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Cut a 1″ or 2.5cm panel for the top, then leave enough space for the Thank You die cut. The card base was then used to determine the measurement for the bottom panel.
The Clear Wink of Stella was used on Thank You die cut as well as the White Stampin’ chalk Marker to add more interest before adhering on the card front with dimensional.
Arty Baby Swipe with Heirloom Frames
There was a little bit of excess from the sample above and we wanted to use it for another project. Here is how you can use small sample off cuts or even DSPs to showcase on your card making.
By using the decorative Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folder and using Whisper White card base, the colourful sample really pops. The Subtle embossing also enhances the idea of a framed art work which we love.
Use the frame as a guide to adhere the middle panel first on the card front. Add strands of Flax Ribbon across the frame then adhere using dimensionals. Finished with the For You sentiment from one of our favourite stamp sets, Label Me Bold.
Baby Swipe Galaxy Planets
The Baby Wipe sample here was enhanced with a bit of sponging. We made use of the Label Me Bold stamp set again for this Galaxy card idea along with 2″, 1″ and 1/2″ Circle Punches.
The stars were stamped using Craft White Ink and the texture stamp in Night of Navy Ink straight onto the Basic Gray card base. Play around with the layout of the planets before adhering on the card front, don’t forget to add depth with dimensionals. For this card, the sentiment and planet on the left are on double dimensionals!
