Watercolor Pencils on Small Bloom Punch
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. Today I am sharing a card using the FREE Sale-A-Bration item Small Bloom Punch for The Spot, a new cardmaking creative challenge blog!
The Spot Creative Challenge
The Spot design team will be bringing you Stampin’ Up! inspiration and weekly cardmaking challenges every Tuesday. We have a Spring Fling Theme this week and I opted for a floral card using some of the colours from last week’s challenge too!
Small Bloom Punch 2 Ways
I used both the off cut and punched flowers on my project today. The piece of Whisper White Cardstock that I punched randomly to get my Small Blooms was used as a layer whilst I coloured the flowers in Watercolor Pencils.
This off cut piece was sponged brayered with Grapefruit Grove and Rococo Rose inks before adhering on the Blushing Bride card base.
The punched small blooms were then coloured onto using Basic Black and Calypso Coral from the Watercolor Pencils set. I added depth to each flower by applying different pressure when colouring…the more intense colour you need, the more pressure you apply.
The Stitched Rectangle topper was stamped with the sentiment in Memento and leaves in Soft Sea Foam. Both images comes from the Rooted In Nature stamp set.
I punched into a scrap piece of Garden Lane Designer Series Paper then snipped 2 petals into the centre. I created 5 pieces of these heart shaped leaves which I then placed at the back of the white flower. Adding the Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine before adhering on the project with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I added splatter effects using White Stampin’ Chalk Marker 🙂
