Stamping Sunday Blog Hop ~ Birthday Celebration Card & Treat Holder
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop, thanks for stopping by! I am sharing 2 projects this month with the theme of Celebrate. These birthday celebration card and treat holder uses Beautifully Penned DSP scraps as well as die cuts from various set.

Birthday Celebration Card with Scraps
I can not part with scraps especially if they’re pretty pattern papers like the Beautifully Penned DSP. I do have to make use of them before Barry gets his hands on them!
To create a different look for the floral pattern, I used Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Marker to darken the background. I then added texture using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
The die cut scraps are from Artistic Dies, Penned Flowers, Christmas Cheer Dies and Tasteful Labels Dies.
Happy Birthday Treat Holder
For my matching 3D project, I created a small treat holder. Luckily the DSP I used made a big enough holder to fit 2 Slimming World hi-fi bars. But it’s quite an easy holder to resize to fit other treats.
The final measurement is 3″ x 3/4″ x 3-3/4″ or 7.5cm x 2cm x 9.7cm
The other scrap I used was the triangular DSP which I coloured the same way as on the card. I raised the left corner with stacked dimensionals whilst adhering the right edge flat. Does it remind you of a tuxedo fold card as well?
Before decorating the front, I punched the ribbon holes using Detailed Trio Punch. The 2 die cuts in Pale Papaya and Vellum were added to match the elements in the card. Then finished with Matte Black Dots and Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
