Colouring With Watercolour Pencils Simple Stamping
Today I’m sharing with you a few simple cards & colouring with Watercolour Pencils for our March Casually Crafting Blog Hop.
Hello, Barry here & welcome to this months Casually Crafting Blog Hop. I hope you enjoy the projects I’ve made for you today.
So who are the Casually Crafters? We are a group of Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that enjoy sharing our take on casual crafting. We’ll be sharing with you what we love with you every 3rd Saturday of each month. If you’re looking for even more inspiration be sure to check out the rest of the design teams projects by clicking links towards the end of this post.
Simple Stampin & Note Cards
For these projects I wanted to keep it very simple for you without having to spend a fortune on one card. So all I’ve used is the Memories and More Card & Envelopes, Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set & Watercolour Pencils.
No die cutting, or embossing involved, but this doesn’t mean you can’t add these to your projects if you have them to hand. You can still do loads with this minimal amount of supplies.
If your new to stamping and card making then note cards are your friend. If your a seasoned crafter then you’ll understand how good having note cards & envelopes in your crafty stash is.
Colouring with Watercolour
Having watercolour pencils in your collection is great. You don’t need to be an artist to use them and you can achieve some amazing colouring results.
As I’ve already mentioned these cards are very simple. All you need to do is stamp your image in the bottom right corner, start colouring with your watercolour pencils and then blend the ink out with a brush and some water. You can use any brush, but we sell some amazing Water Painters which hold the water within the brush itself. Wow. this makes colouring so much more easier.
Colouring with Watercolour Tip
If you’re finding that you line image is bleeding then you’re using the wrong ink. You will need to use a permanent ink for your outline image & in this case I’ve used Stazon Ink.
Will you have a go at making these cards? I hope so. If you do, please share your projects on social media and tag us using @mitosucrafts. That way we’ll be able to see easily what you done. We love seeing what you all create.
Anyway, thats it for today & thank you for hopping with me. But in the meantime be sure to check out the rest of the team projects by clicking on the links below to continue with the hop.
Thanks for stopping by & until next time, BYEEEEE!
