Stamping Sunday Blog Hop ~ Forever Gold Laser Cut with Quite Curvy
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop to showcase Gold Laser Cut Paper. For my projects, I used the Forever Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper with the NEW Quite Curvy Bundle.
The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. Do make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team’s creative projects from the links at the end of this post.
Forever Gold Laser Cut Paper
This gorgeous specialty paper from the Forever Greenery Suite on pages 108-110 of the Annual Catalogue is a must have for any type of crafter. There are pre-cut card fronts for quick and easy cards plus greenery accents to add to any projects! You can use the gold side or colour the white back to coordinate with your chosen colour ways. For more avid crafters, you can use the card fronts as stencils for sponging or with the embossing paste. The possibilities are endless!
Hooray For You Quite Curvy Card
For this card I used the greenery accents to decorate the ends of the banner. I snipped into the designs to extend the use of each element and make it work for my project.
The other elements for this card (background & banner) were demonstrated during one of our recent YouTube Live with Quite Curvy Bundle. I just had to use them up and create a card. The making of this Sahara Sand card was done off camera though, adding Cinnamon Cider Ribbon and Champagne Rhinestones to finish.
You can catch the replay below which also demonstrates how I coloured the greenery elements for my 3D project on this hop with plenty of cardmaking tips.
Home Decor Frame with Mini Paper Pumpkin Box
The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are another great product for quick and easy treat or gift projects. They are pre scored, pre cut and food safe! Decorate with DSPs and fill with treats or even a pack of Notecards for your friends and family.
For my Home Decor Frame 3D project, I cut an aperture on the lid using the Paper Trimmer.
Good old pencil and ruler helped to create the aperture for this frame. I measured a 1/4″ or 0.6cm in all four corners before using the Paper Trimmer. The Mossy Meadow backing measures 3-5/8″ x 5-1/2″ or 9.2cm x 14cm and was stamped tone on tone with the same leaf garland.
The main decoration inside were created with the watercolour wash technique just like on the video replay. I added the gold laser cut hexagonal frame using double Stampin’ Dimensionals for added height. Then embellished with Cinnamon Cider Ribbon, Champagne Rhinestone and Linen Thread. The sentiment on triple dimensionals this time was stamped in Cinnamon Cider before die cutting with the Curvy Dies from the bundle.
You can colour the white Mini Paper Pumpkin Box using a Sponge Brayer or Stampin’ Spritzer with rubbing alcohol. Which maybe I should’ve done to match the Sahara Sand on the card.
I do hope you like these projects that shows how the Forever Gold Laser Cut can compliment your papercraft.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
