Creating Kindness ~ Silhouette Scenes of Your Dreams

Thanks for stopping by today. It’s Jay here with a Galaxy inspired card for the Creating Kindness Design Team blog hop using Silhouette Scenes stamp set.

Easy Galaxy Background with See A Silhouette

I have created a galaxy background before with ink blending but with the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper, it’s even easier to achieve!

The paper designs uses Pigment Sprinkles which are great for artistic backgrounds. I chose a section with some white areas which I sponged with Melon Mambo and Pacific Point inks to intensify the colours.

Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set

We’ve recently got the Silhouette Scenes stamp set and I thought it would be great to use as a topper against the galaxy background.

To add more interest on the card, I used the circle punches, Subtle Embossing Folder and Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Ink Refill.

Stampin’ Blends Tip

For an easier fussy cutting tip, use Stampin’ Blends Marker to outline the image and use it as a guide when fussy cutting. This way you know exactly where to cut around and it gives a nice even border around your image. For my card I used the colour Light Balmy Blue.

Another use for the Stampin’ Blends Markers is to colour your Silver Glimmer Paper. I needed a contrast between the 1″ circle and 1/2″ circles and I achieved this by dabbing Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Marker on the smaller punched circle. Do not colour in the traditional way using back and forth strokes as this may damage the brush nib of your markers with the textured surface of the glimmer paper.
