Joyful Christmas Specialty

Fill your paper crafts with music and a touch of gold this Christmas season with the Joyful 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper. Partly hand-drawn, this paper is great for card making and features an eclectic selection of four designs: holly berry leaves, tartan, wood grain, and music notes.

I used this specialty paper on both my cards as well as other items in the Joy of Christmas Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! SD23 Mini Catalogue.

I embossed the layer and added strips of DSP with musical notes. The long die cut label has a layer of another DSP design and highlighted with gold Metallic Enamel Effects.

I created an aperture on the square die cut for the frame using the Paper Trimmer. Then embellished with more die cuts, ribbon and loose gold musical note sequins.

Three Panel Fun Fold Joyful Christmas Card

I recreated this fold recently for Fun Fold Friday; changing it slightly from the original which I designed as extra inspiration for our Online Craft Retreat.

This gatefold card with 3 crossover panels has 2 more panels inside and a tentfold insert to hide your message. It’s easy to make and use up your DSPs!

Cardbase: 8″ x 5-1/2″
- score @ 2″, 3-1/2″ & 4-1/2″
- then manually fold the other side to meet in the middle

Panel DSP Layer: (x3): 3-1/2″ x 1-3/8″
Inner Mat (x2): 1-5/8″ x 5-1/8″
Inner DSP Layer (x2): 5″ x 1-1/2″

- folded in half @ 5-1/4″
