New Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Projects ~ Inked & Tiled Background
Hi it’s Jay Soriano here, welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. I am sharing my Artisan Design Team technique projects, featuring punched Inked & Tiled background. These were recently posted by Stampin’ Up! on their official social media pages.
Inked & Tiled Punch Pack
Create timeless tiled patterns with the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack. The punched images can be used separately as decorative tags or patterns. Try using them together by alternating each punched piece to create a seamless tile pattern fit for all occasions!
I decided to play around with the punched pieces to create three dimensional backgrounds. It’s easy to make and fun too as you can try different patterns using different coloured cardstock.
I created 2 card projects using the following products which are available from our Stampin’ Up! Online Shop.
How To Create Inked & Tiled Three Dimensional Background
- Score cardstock at 5/8” or 1.6cm then cut at 1-1/4” or 3.2cm.
- Punch with the score line across the centre.
- Burnish score lines with a Bone Folder.
Happy Birthday Card
I used a pencil and ruler on Basic Gray card stock to mark a centre line to ensure the punched elements have an equal border around. The sentiment was stamped in Memento ink on Coastal Cabana card then punched using the 2nd design from the Nike & Tiled Punch Pack.
Just A Note Square Card
For this 4″ x 4″ (or 10.2cm x 10.2cm) card, I alternated the folds but used the same colour card stock each side. I marked the card front at the centre and adhered the punched sentiment first to have an equal border.
