More Card Ideas with Sweet Candy Canes by Stampin’ Up!
Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here sharing more card ideas with Sweet Candy Canes stamp set and Candy Cane Dies Bundle for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop. It’s a very short hop today but hopefully you will still find inspiration from the crew’s projects.
Sweet Candy Canes
Share Christmas cheer with cards and gift tags you make with the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set. Deck the front of the card with a short sentiment and single candy canes or crisscrossed canes—the two candy canes face opposite directions so they cross beautifully. Stamp the inside with one of the longer messages framed on top and bottom by a leaf image. Want to give a candy cane treat? Stamp “Candy Cane Wishes” on a cardstock tag with holes in the top and bottom and slide it onto a candy cane. Quick, easy, and cute!
For my first card, I created a frame with the canes and used various cardmaking techniques for the elements.
Framed Sweet Candy Canes Wishes
The framed scene is from the Charming Landscapes Embossing Folders. Using the debossed side which I swiped with Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point inks.
The background has Snowfall Accents Puff Paint spread through an Artistic Mix Decorative Mask. And Also stamped with the canes from Santa’s Delivery set. I found some glitter in our stash so just had to add around the candy cane frame and background layer.
The sprigs from Christmas Banner Dies were die cut in Balmy Blue card and ink blended with Shaded Spruce. I also pulled on the Iridescent Trim to make it thinner and add even more texture to the card.
Finally I used the Marker To Stamp technique on the ‘Candy Cane’ sentiment and inserted the larger ‘Wishes’ from Framed Florets stamp set.
