2 Island Vibes Cards For Inspire & Create With Stampin’ Up!
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here for the Inspire & Create With Stampin’ Up! design team. I am sharing 2 Island Vibes cards for inspiration; a simple layered card with the potted plant and a step up tropical card with the banana leaves.

Island Vibes Simple Layered Card
I wanted to create a simple mat and layered card to highlight the miniature potted plant as a topper. The Simply Marbleous DSP (another FREE Sale-A-Bration item) works really well with this image as well don’t you think?
I added a Basic White mat under the DSP before adhering both on the Flirty Flamingo cardbase. Then, I stamped the plant in Mint Macaron ink on Basic White, followed by layering it on top of Smoky Slate card. I wrapped Baker’s Twine before adhering on the card front. Add finishing touches with the Baker’s Twine bow, elements from Expression’s In Ink Ephemera Pack and small flourish created with the Bough Punch. The sentiment in Memento ink on Soft Sea Foam card comes from Beauty Of Friendship stamp set.
Tropical Card with Island Vibes
The banana leaves from Island Vibes just speaks tropical to me. It takes me back to my childhood and reminds me of visiting my grandma during summer holidays.
The stamped leaves on its own is already a great image but I wanted more depth and coloured it with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends markers. Fussy cut and adhered on Bark embossed Mossy Meadow card. Then framed using the Stitched Rectangle Dies in Crumb Cake card.
To add more tropical element, I coloured the ‘thanks’ sentiment (die cut from Amazing Thanks set) in Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends markers. The ombre colours was inspired by sunset but it also reminds me of a cocktail!
To finish, I added In Color Jewels and wrapped Linen Thread on the frame.
