Double Gate Fun Fold For Inspire & Create With Stampin’ Up!

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Inspire & Create With Stampin’ Up! design team. I am sharing a Double Gate fun fold featuring Simply Marbleous DSP and Butterfly Brilliance stamp set.

Double Gate Fun Fold Card with Butterflies

I changed up the measurements slightly to make use of two Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ DSP in Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grape. This pack of pretty pattern papers is FREE from Sale-A-Bration, so get them whilst they’re available from our online shop!

How To Make A Handmade Double Gate Fun Fold Card

1. Fold and burnish the score lines on the cardbase using a Bone Folder.
2. Adhere the Simply Marbleous DSP panels using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
3. White emboss 2 butterflies from Butterfly Brilliance stamp set (large and bottom right butterflies) using Versamark, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool.
4. Die cut the butterflies using Brilliant Wings Dies.
5. Add colour using Water Painters and Coastal Cabana ink.
6. Mat and layer the Vellum and Flirty Flamingo sentiment die cuts. Then adhere on the inside middle panel.
7. Accordion fold the Basic White card for mechanism.
8. Place the mechanism at an ‘M’ position. Adhere the large embossed butterfly on one end centrally then add the other end on the inside middle panel.
9. Adhere the two smallest intricate butterfly die cuts on the Gorgeous Grape DSP panels.
10. Add 3 Brushed Brass Butterflies then close the card.
11. For the belly band, fold the score line on the Basic White Thick and place on the thickest part of the card. Use the other edge of card and a Bone Folder to add another score line. Then adhere both ends to create the belly band.
12. Adhere the Gorgeous Grape DSP on the front of the belly band.
13. Cut into the Gold butterfly die cut then stack on top of the embossed and Vellum butterflies before adding on the belly band.
14. Loop and tie the threads from White Frayed Ribbon then add 2 Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish.
