Double Gate Fun Fold For Inspire & Create With Stampin’ Up!

Double Gate Fun Fold Card with Butterflies
I changed up the measurements slightly to make use of two Simply Marbleous 6″ x 6″ DSP in Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grape. This pack of pretty pattern papers is FREE from Sale-A-Bration, so get them whilst they’re available from our online shop!
Metric Measurements
- Basic White Thick
- Cardbase: 28cm x 14cm, score on the long edge at 3.2cm & 8.6cm on both edges
- Belly Band: 25.5cm x 2.5cm, score on the long edge at 4cm
- Basic White
- Butterfly Stamping: 9cm x 12.5cm
- Smallest Intricate Die Cut Butterflies: scrap
- Mechanism: 1.6cm x 7.6cm, score on long edge every 1.9cm
- Vellum
- Large Butterfly Die Cut: 9cm x 8cm
- Sentiment Outline Die Cut: 9cm x 4cm
- Flirty Flamingo

How To Make A Handmade Double Gate Fun Fold Card
- Fold and burnish the score lines on the cardbase using a Bone Folder.
- Adhere the Simply Marbleous DSP panels using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- White emboss 2 butterflies from Butterfly Brilliance stamp set (large and bottom right butterflies) using Versamark, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool.
- Die cut the butterflies using Brilliant Wings Dies.
- Add colour using Water Painters and Coastal Cabana ink.
- Mat and layer the Vellum and Flirty Flamingo sentiment die cuts. Then adhere on the inside middle panel.
- Accordion fold the Basic White card for mechanism.
- Place the mechanism at an ‘M’ position. Adhere the large embossed butterfly on one end centrally then add the other end on the inside middle panel.
- Adhere the two smallest intricate butterfly die cuts on the Gorgeous Grape DSP panels.
- Add 3 Brushed Brass Butterflies then close the card.
- For the belly band, fold the score line on the Basic White Thick and place on the thickest part of the card. Use the other edge of card and a Bone Folder to add another score line. Then adhere both ends to create the belly band.
- Adhere the Gorgeous Grape DSP on the front of the belly band.
- Cut into the Gold butterfly die cut then stack on top of the embossed and Vellum butterflies before adding on the belly band.
- Loop and tie the threads from White Frayed Ribbon then add 2 Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish.
