TGCDT: November 2021 ~ Elegant Poinsettia Christmas Cards & #OnStageAtHome Swaps
Hello & welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. Thanks for stopping by for The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team November’s inspiration hop. Today we are sharing Christmas cards with poinsettia and our #OnStageAtHome swaps.
The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team (#TGCDT) are a group of male crafters. Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that love to share our creative side with you every 2nd Friday of each month. Poinsettia Christmas Card with Embossing On Vellum
The Vellum card front was clear embossed with one of the designs from Merriest Moments stamp set. Then backed with a Timber embossed Soft Succulent layer. So the topper arrangement is hidden when the card is opened. Other images for the topper were white embossed on Vellum and cut with the coordinating dies from the Merriest Frames dies.
To add a pop of colour, a Real Red card was ink blended with Merry Merlot. The Glittered Organdy Ribbon and Linen Thread were wrapped for more texture.
Then finished with the sentiment from Words of Cheer stamp set, Wonderful Gems and Pearl Basic Jewels.
#OnStageAtHome Swap
We always love seeing our friends and other demonstrators during OnStage which is normally a big event. But due to current conditions, the event is held online again. The card above inspired our swap with our Stampin’ Up! friends. Changed slightly with a full Basic Gray cardbase and omitting the clear embossing on the Vellum layer. The Pearl Basic Jewels hides the glue that adheres the Velum layer in place.
