Stamping Sunday Blog Hop ~ Love Santa Alternative Christmas Projects
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop. I have created 2 projects with this month’s theme of Small Gifts and Tags. Sharing alternative use for the Love Santa Treat Bags and decorated with poinsettias.
The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. Do make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team’s creative projects from the links at the end of this post.
Love Santa Treat Bags
The Love, Santa Treat Bags are beautiful, food-safe cellophane bags that are perfect to fill with scrumptious treats and goodies. There are 12 treat bags in total, 3 each of 4 designs. The white-printed designs are festive like frosted windowpanes and directly coordinate with the Love, Santa Tags!
I made use of 1 treat bag for both my projects below. And I also added mini Tailor Made Tags as elements to fit the theme of the hop.
Merry Christmas Card with Love Santa
I cut into the bag and overlaid it on an embossed Garden Green card. I arranged die cut and punched elements around a strip of Kraft Paper. The sentiment from Poinsettia Petals was white embossed on another Kraft Paper then fussy cut. Adhered using dimensionals then finished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Decorated Mini Paper Pumpkin Gift Box
The treat bag is already a great way to give small gifts with. If you do prefer a gift box then the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box is for you. Decorate and fill these empty boxes with Note Cards & Envelopes or treats! They are also food safe and there are 10 boxes in a pack.
I decorated my gift box with the same elements as the card; Painted Christmas DSP, Tasteful Textile embossed layer, Love Santa layer, Soft Sea Foam tags, Red Velvet poinsettias and white embossed sentiment on Kraft Paper. As well as a large bow created from strips made out of the Love Santa Treat Bag!
I am so pleased the bow idea worked. It is slightly fiddly but Mini Glue Dots helps adhere each strips in place fast. To support the base, I punched cards with the Medium Daisy and Sprig designs. Then neatly adhered each sprigs on each petal. You can probably get away with just adding the sprigs on a circle piece instead.
What do you think of these Christmas projects and alternative use for the Love Santa Treat Bags? I do hope you enjoyed both of them. Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
