Stunning Christmas Card with Monochrome Be Jolly Santa
Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. Thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay here, taking over Barry’s Casually Crafting blog hop! Today I’m sharing a very sparkly, stunning Christmas card featuring Be Jolly Santa coloured in Stampin’ Blends.
The Casually Crafting Design Team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that enjoy sharing projects ideal for casual crafters. It’s a step up from simple stamping, quick and easy projects for beginners. We hop every 3rd Saturday of the month and the theme for November is a Colour Challenge.
The design team have created wonderful Stampin’ Up! projects using the colours from the photo inspiration above. Be sure to continue along the hop from the links at the end of this post.
Sparkly Stunning Christmas Card
The Black Glitter Paper is soooo sparkly, I just had to use it for my card. To add extra glimmer to create this stunning Christmas card, I also used Clear Wink of Stella and Shimmery White Embossing Paste! Although the paste is white, there are iridescent glitter in the paste which adds a cool colour to the card.
Now a confession…as there is no Basic Gray Stampin’ Blends, I swapped it with the nearest colour which is Smoky Slate to colour the Be Jolly Santa.
How To Create a Monochrome Christmas Card
- Thick Basic White Cardbase: 21cm x 14.6cm
- Basic Black Layer 1: 10.5cm x 14.6cm
- Basic Gray Layer 2: 9cm x 13.1cm
- Black Glitter Paper Layer: 8.5cm x 12.6cm
- Basic White: Be Jolly Santa stamping
- Basic Gray and Basic White: scrap for sentiment and mat
- Add Shimmery White Embossing Paste on the Black Glitter layer through the snowflakes stencil from Adorning Designs Decorative Masks. Leave aside to dry.
- Stamp Santa in Memento, colour in Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Colour Lifter and add Clear Wink of Stella. Fussy cut with Paper Snips.
- Prepare cardbase and adhere Basic Black Layer 1 using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere Black Glitter Layer 3 on Basic Gray Layer 2 then add both flat on the card front.
- Add the fussy cut Santa using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Create a bow with white Baker’s Twine and adhere using Mini Glue Dots.
- Stamp the sentiment in Memento and trim down. Then add a small strip of Basic Gray card underneath the sentiment.
- Adhere on top of the bow with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Finish with 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Have you enjoyed this Be Jolly card using the colour inspiration from the Casually Crafting blog hop? I do hope I’ve inspired you to do more Stampin’ Blends colouring. As well as add glitter and glimmer on your projects to create stunning cards.
Thanks for stopping by & until next time, BYEEEEE!

There is no such thing as too much sparkle! Two of my crafting tote bags have luggage tags that are shaker tags filled with stars & sequins. They say, “Leave a little sparkle wherever you go.” Sparkle on, Jay. Sparkle on.
