Wonderful Triple Spotlight Stamping Technique with Delicate Dahlias
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here, for this month’s Creating Kindness blog hop. I have created a wonderful card using Triple Spotlight Stamping Technique with Delicate Dahlias and In Your Words SAB stamp sets.
Creating Kindness Design Team
The theme this month is Stamping Techniques which was chosen by our special guest designer Colleen Johnson. If you’re following the hop already, you may have arrived here from Colleen’s Cards. Do hop around to check out the rest of the Creating Kindness Design Team from the links at the end of this post.
Wonderful Triple Spotlight Stamping Technique
The Delicate Dahlias from Sale-A-Bration is a Two Step Stamping set. It has outline and filler designs which is great for the Spotlight Technique. As it allows for quick colouring of spotlighted areas!
I kept my card design quite simple to showcase the technique and how easy it is to achieve in your cardmaking.
How To Create A Handmade Card with Triple Spotlight Stamping Technique
Metric Measurements
- Basic White Thick
- Cardbase: 21cm x 14.6cm
- Basic White
- Layer 1: 9.9cm x 14cm
- Spotlights: 10cm x 10cm
- Basic Black
- Die Cuts: scrap
- Soft Sea Foam
- Sentiment: strip
Imperial Measurements

- Basic White
- Layer 1: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Spotlights: 4″ x 4″

- Stamp the large dahlia flower outline design in Memento ink on Basic White Layer 1 card and on the smaller piece of Basic White card.
- Stamp the filler design in Fresh Freesia ink on the 2nd stamped image.
- Die cut 3 spotlights using the 3 smallest sizes from the Layering Circles Dies set.
- Die cut ‘HI’ using Playful Alphabet Dies in Basic Black card.
- Stamp the sentiment from In Your Words set in Memento ink on Soft Sea Foam card. Then use Paper Snips to trim the edges.
- Prepare Basic White Thick cardbase and adhere Layer 1 card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Add the ‘Spotlights’ using Stampin’ Dimensionals. TIP: use the offcut to help align the spotlights in the correct positions.
- Add ‘HI’ using Stampin’ Dimensionals then coat with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
- Add the sentiment flat on the 2nd spotlight.
- Finish by splattering Clear Wink of Stella and adding 3 Pearl Basic Jewels.
