Friends Are Like Seashells Cards For Creating Kindness
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here, for this month’s Creating Kindness blog hop. The theme this month is Maritime and I created a couple of seashells cards. Using Friends Are Like Seashells bundle from the Sand & Sea Suite by Stampin’ Up!

The Maritime theme is inspired by our special guest designer this month, Christine Wrede of Stempeltamtam! I have been a fan of Christine’s work and have followed her on Instagram. Happy Birthday Card with Seashells
For my first card, I did some random simple stamping with the starfish on the cardbase. I also created a quick panel with Ink Pad Stamping technique! Check out the step by step tutorial below for more details.
How To Create A Card with Seashells Step By Step Tutorial
- Stamp the starfish randomly in Soft Sea Foam ink on the card front.
- Lightly stamp Balmy Blue Ink Pad on Basic White card and trim the edges with 1.3cm | 1/2″ border.
- Stamp the seaweed on the panel randomly in Soft Sea Foam ink.
- Score along the inked edges, fold and adhere underneath the card to create the panel.
- Tear Mint Macaron strip and adhere at the back of the panel.
- Tear Garden Green strip and adhere at the front of the panel.
- Adhere all 3 elements on the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Stamp the 2 small seashells in Smoky Slate ink and the large shell in Pacific Point ink.
- Spread and add Balmy Blue ink on the large shell using Water Painters. Then die cut or fussy cut all 3 seashells.
- Add the 2 largest shells on the panel, just above the Garden Green strip.
- Heat emboss the sentiment in white on Basic Black card, trim and adhere using folded over Mini Glue Dots for height.
- Create a Linen Thread bow, add on the card and cover the knot with the smallest shell using Mini Glue Dot.
- Finish with Pearl Basic Jewels.
Friends Are Like Seashells Cards ~ In Pinks
This 2nd card was started on one of our YouTube livestream showcasing the bundle and Seashells 3D Embossing Folder. I used 2 colours from the Sand & Sea Suite, Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo for the stamping. Then finished off with the embossed panel underneath and white embossed sentiment.
