Approaching Perfection
This FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set will only be available to earn until February 28th 2021. It includes classic birthday images such as balloons and candles along with a variety of greetings perfect for the occasion. This stamp set is also available in French and German.
I created a masculine birthday card using free hand repeat stamping technique with the candles image for the background. Keeping the colour palette black and white with a pop of colour for the sentiment. Which can be personalised to the recipient’s favourite Stampin’ Up! colour.
How To Create A Masculine Birthday Card with Approaching Perfection
Metric Measurements
- Cardbase: 10.5cm x 29.2cm – folded in half at 14.6cm
- Basic White Panels (x4): 9.5cm x 3.2cm
- Basic Black Layer: 5cm x 6.5cm
- Coastal Cabana Layer: 5cm x 6.5cm
Imperial Measurements
- Cardbase: 4-1/4″ x 11″ – folded in half at 5-1/2″
- Basic White Panels (x4): 4″ x 1-1/4″
- Basic Black Layer: 2″ x 2-9/16″
- Coastal Cabana Layer: 2″ x 2-9/16″
Directions
- Use grid paper underneath an acrylic block to ensure the stamp is placed parallel to the edge. Stamp a few times on the grid paper to practice and create reference points when moving across.
- Stamp the candles design across each of the Basic White Panels in Memento ink and adhere on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. (The panels on the card with Imperial Measurements will be closer to the edges due to the height of the stamped designs)
- Heat emboss the sentiment on Coastal Cabana card using Versamark ink, Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Heat Tool.
- Swipe the embossed Coastal Cabana card with Memento ink until the sentiment is covered in ink but leaving a corner showing the original card colour.
- Offset the Basic Black card layer underneath and adhere both on the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Finish by adding Flowers For Every Season Gems.
