Easy Easel Card Casually Crafting Blog Hop
Hello, Barry here from Mitosu Crafts UK & welcome to this months Casually Crafting Blog Hop. The theme for this month is Winter Is Coming & I have an easy but fancy Easel Card to share with you.
Check it out below along with the links for the other Casually Crafter Winter Is Coming inspiration
So who are the Casually Crafters? We are a group of Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that enjoy sharing our take on casual crafting. We share what we love with you every 3rd Friday of each month, so be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team’s creative projects at the end of this post.
Winter Is Coming
As this is a winter theme blog hope I’ve used the Still Scenes Stamp Set. It has a perfect little house which looks like it is perfectly situated in a winter scene. It was also a good opportunity to make a simple Easel Card which i haven’t done for a long time.
Instead of making a normal fold card as I normal do, I’ve made a simple Easel Card for this challenge. It’s so easy to do and with just a few simple tools you can recreate this for your self.
You can either leave the image plain or if you prefer you can colour the image with some Stampin Blends. We just love these pens and use them a lot (and I mean aloooot)
The other advantage of making an Easel Card is its suitable for a battery operated tea light. Combine this with a stamped image from the Still Scenes Stamp Set & a piece of vellum to create a lovely window.
Video Tutorial
I will be making a video for this Easel Card live on Sunday 22nd November 7pm on our Youtube Channel. If you’d like to watch find us on Youtube by searching Mitosu Crafts. Alternatively click here or the picture below to be taken direct to our channel. Don’t forget to subscribe for future video releases and live demonstrations.

Wow, love this project Barry! I couldn’t work out which papers you had used at first, the glow of the lights really changes the effect and looks amazing.

Very beautiful card! The warm light behind the sweet little cottage looks very christmassy.
