Painted Poppies Card Ideas with Stamp Review Crew
Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here sharing Painted Poppies card ideas for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop.
I’m so excited to be hopping with the crew again. If you’re following the hop already, you may have arrived here from Crafty Little Peach by the talented Lauren Alarid. Her work is always stunning and I can’t wait to see all the the crew’s projects with the Painted Poppies stamps. So be sure to hop all the way around by clicking the ‘Next Blog’ button at the end of this blog post for more inspirations.
This set from the Peaceful Poppies Suite on the Mini Catalogue has 9 Cling Mount line image designs and comes as a bundle with the Painted Labels Dies. You can create quick cards, colouring the poppy flowers with the ink splatter and watercolour wash stamps.
For my cards, I opted to colour the poppies in Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and combined with the Peaceful Moments sentiment stamp set in the same Suite.
Thank You Painted Poppies
For my first card, I stamped the row of poppies in Pool Party ink twice then added the ‘Thank You’ sentiment in Memento. The big poppy image was stamped in So Saffron ink and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker for a No Line Colouring look. The Stampin’ Blends colours I used were, Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Petal Pink and Smoky Slate. Finished with old olive Vellum Sprig, crumb cake Nature’s Twine and Gingham Gala sequins.
With All My Heart Painted Poppies
For my 2nd card, I stepped it up a little by adding the Rectangle Stitched Dies and more No Line Colouring. The splatters were stamped with Soft Sea Foam before adding the floral arrangements and sentiment. The Stampin’ Blends I used were, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron. As these colours are more subtle and with the added Very Vanilla frame, this card has a little vintage feel to it don’t you think?
Thinking of You Painted Poppies
I got a bit carried away with my 3rd and final card. The images were stamped in Memento then coloured in the following Stampin’ Blends; Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Color Lifter. The shading were added with an HB pencil and pollen highlights with Chalk Marker.
I created the chevrons using Stitched Nested Labels Dies and were adhered using mini dimensionals. The splatters were stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink before adding the floral arrangement, punched Sprigs, Nature’s Twine and Peaceful Poppies Sequins. I masked the same sentiment stamp as the 2nd card then white embossed to finish the card.
I hope you’re inspired with these projects and do more colouring yourself. Don’t forget to come back and order any Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
