TGCDT: January 2020 ~ The Gang's All Meer

Jay’s Masculine Birthday Meerkat Card
I used the cute meerkat with a square frame from Swirly Frames set then die cut with Stitched Shapes Dies. To colour the topper, I opted for Mint Macaron Combo, Ivory, Bronze and Soft Suede Combo Stampin’ Blends Markers.
The background for this card was easily created using the Stamparatus Hinge Step Technique. I aligned the card layer in the centre first then moved the plate vertically. For the left and right columns, I moved the card instead so I wouldn’t have to move the stamp on the Stamparatus plate.
I added the earthy Soft Suede banner and the metallic Copper Trim for more interest. The sentiment from the same set as the meerkat was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals then finished with the Pretty Peacock In Color Faceted Dots.
Barry’s Meerkat Gang Gift Bag
I used Jay’s card as inspiration for my choice of Designer Series Paper for this masculine gift bag which came from the new Country Club DSP Pack.
Making up this bag was easy with the All Dressed Up Dies as the papers were scored as well. I decided to add Silver Foil accents for the buckles and adhered the back straps as a backpack for more masculine effect.
The meerkat gang were also coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers as before then fussy cut with Paper Snips. For the closure, I added magnets so it’s easy to open and can be re-used / re-gift afterwards.

Hi Terry, pleased you liked the project. The button from the All Dressed Up dies and cut from the scrap papers used for the rest of the project. I’ve raised it on a Mini Dimensional to give it the height. Hope this helps. Barry x
