Beautiful Day is an older set consisting of a flower and a butterfly with a stained glass feel along with a couple of sentiments. The 2 big images are great for toppers which I used for my cards today. I also wanted to incorporate new products from the 2020 Mini Catalogue and opted for the Forever Blossoms and Cherry Blossoms Dies Bundle.
All of Me Loves Beautiful Day
The inspiration for this card came from a card sketch layout I created for a team inspiration challenge. The flower image was stamped in Memento Ink and was easy to fussy cut due to the thick outlines of the image. I coloured the flower with Ivory and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers.
To make the most of the Stampin’ Blends Markers, I drew straight lines on a Whisper White card and cut to size for the middle strip. I also created splatters with the Blends using the brush tip end.
For the background, I stamped the cherry blossoms from Forever Blossoms set in Basic Gray Ink. The sentiment from Forever Blossoms was added then finished off with the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Thinking of You on a Beautiful Day
For my 2nd card, I wanted more colours for the butterfly. I had the See A Silhouette DSP to hand from other recent projects and the Shimmer Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder looks fabulous for the thick outlines.
The layout is similar to the previous card without the middle strip. I have added die cuts from the Cherry Blossoms Dies in Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Basic Black. Keeping these die cuts in subtle and neutral colours hopefully doesn’t take the focus from the colourful butterfly.
Another new product from the Mini Catalogue I am loving is the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder which I had to use for the background in Soft Sea Foam. I then completed the card with the white embossed sentiment on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I do hope you enjoyed these projects. Don’t forget to come back and order any Stampin’ Up! products online from Mitosu Crafts or from your local Stamp Review Crew Design Team.

Superb Jay. I love how you have combined stamp and dies with this set. Your flower is just so beautifully coloured. Totally on point! x
