Hello Spring for Paper Craft Crew Challenge #PCC332
I am saying hello to Spring with my card project for the Paper Craft Crew challenge #PCC332. It’s Jay here and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by.
My project uses a variety of Stampin’ Up! products including Nature’s Poem DSP, Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies and Fable Friends Stamp Set. So here is my take on this week’s Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge…
Card Details
I altered the cardbase so it can be created with an A4 cardstock or a US Letter cardstock. There’s no need to convert, just cut down your cardstock to the following measurements
Cardbase: 14cm x 21cm, folded in half at 10.5cm
Sahara Sand Card Mat: 13.3cm x 9.8cm
Whisper White Layer: 13cm x 9.5cm
OR
Cardbase: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″, folded in half at 4 1/8″
Sahara Sand Card Mat: 5 1/4″ x 3 7/8″
Whisper White Layer: 5 1/8″ x 3 3/4″
Starting with the Whisper White layer, I lightly sprinkled Yellow Brusho Crystal then spritzed with isopropyl alcohol. As the alcohol soaks into the paper quicker the Brusho Crystals doesn’t spread much and is much more controlled. I also used Moss Green on another piece of Whisper White cardstock which I die cut with the leaves from Wonderful Floral Framelits set
For the left panel, I die cut a Nature’s Poem DSP with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. I then sponged Shaded Spruce and Lemon Lime Twist inks on top
The sentiment comes from Fable Friends stamp set and was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento. This again was die cut with the Rectangle Stitched design. Once the ink is dry, I sponged Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist before wrapping Linen Thread on top
Another piece of Whisper White was die cut and snipped to hide behind the sentiment topper, only showing the left side of the die cut.
Once the final size of the topper is known, I used it as a guide first to determine where to adhere the leaves. I then added height to the topper with Stampin’ Dimensionals
To finish the card with the embellishments, I coloured Basic Pearls with the Light Mango Melody Alcohol Blends and followed the card sketch for placements
