Welcome to the Creating Kindness Design Team blog hop! You are currently at Mitosu Crafts with me Jay Soriano, thanks for stopping by. Our theme this month is Negative Space with Die Cuts and I have used Petal Palette for my card ideas today.
Be sure to continue along the hop from the links at the end of this post. Especially check out our Special Guest Designer this month, the talented Linda van Wely-Zwolle of Stampin with Liz Designs. Linda’s colouring are always inspiring and her projects are beautiful
And here is my take on the Negative Die Cut Space theme…creating a unique frame using a die from Petals & More Thinlits Dies that coordinates with Petal Palette stamp set
We recently received the Country Floral DTIEF (embossing folder) and its a perfect background for my card. The highlights were created using Craft White Pigment Ink and a dauber sponge. It’s a satisfying technique as the embossed images start to become more visible from the Night of Navy cardstock.
The large floral design stamp is great for colouring with the Stampin’ Blends and you don’t have to be too neat too. Therefore it’s ideal for beginners to colour or for quick colouring projects.
As my previously blogged card project, I have altered my card base and layers. You can create this from an A4 cardstock or a US Letter cardstock
Card Details
Smoky Slate Cardbase: 21cm x 14cm, folded in half at 10.5cm
Night of Navy Mat: 9cm x 12.4cm
Whisper White Layer: 9.5cm x 13cm
OR
Smoky Slate Cardbase: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″, folded in half at 4 1/8″
Night of Navy Mat: 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″
Whisper White Layer: 3 3/4″ x 5 1/8″
