How To Make A Card with Circle & Layering Leaves Bough Punch
Hello, and welcome to the Casually Crafting blog hop. Itโs Jay Soriano here from Mitosu Crafts UK. And I am sharing a card with the Layering Leaves, 2-3/8″ Circle & Bough Punch.
Casually Crafting Design Team
The Casually Crafting Design Team are a group of independent Stampinโ Up! demonstrators that enjoy sharing projects ideal for casual crafters. Itโs a STEP UP from simple stamping, quick and easy projects for beginners. We hop every 3rd Saturday of the month with different themed inspirations.
We’ve taken inspiration from the Tic Tac Toe challenge for our handmade cards this month. If we’re playing the game, I would definitely lose. As my card consists of elements all over the board; All Things Round, Sequins, Layers, Green and Foliage. But I did use a strip of Masking Paper so technically, I got the first column for the win?
Layering Leaves Stamp Set
I used the Layering Leaves stamp set for the sentiment. It has everything you need to send heartfelt thoughts to a friend! You can add the Two-Step stamped leaves to add unique texture by layering the images as well. But for my card, I opted to use the coordinating Bough Punch for the foliage only.

How To Make A Card with Layering Leaves, 2-3/8″ Circle & Bough Punch
- Mat and layer cards 1 and 2 together then add the Natural Wavy Trim across the bottom before adhering to the card front.
- Add colour to the Masking Paper with Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends then stick to the Rose Gold Foil about 1″ OR 2.5cm from the bottom edge.
- Use 2-3/8″ Circle Punch on Delightfully Eclectic DSP grid design and Rose Gold Foil.
- Add the circle DSP flat on the card front, just above the trim.
- Cut the foil in half using a Paper Trimmer.
- Use the Bough Punch twice on Very Vanilla and Misty Moonlight cardstock.
- Colour Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends on the punched floral elements. Add to the decorate the foil and trim excess.
- Adhere both planters on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink above the right pot.
- Ink blend Garden Green ink on the vanilla leaves and arrange on the left planter.
- Finish with 3 white sequins
Our team got a preview of this card during our monthly gathering as the elements came from our Mystery Stamping card! It’s always interesting how we all design different cards using the same elements.
I hope you enjoyed this casual card! Thanks for stopping by & until next time, BYEEEEE!
