Nurture Nature with FREE Sale-A-Bration Favored Flowers Pretty DSP
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop with the theme of Nurture Nature. I am sharing a card and treat box using the FREE Favored Flowers DSP from Sale-A-Bration 2023.
The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. The Nurture Nature theme features projects for those who nurtures like mentors, carers, Mother’s Day or for encouragement. I wanted to focus on the ‘nature’ as well so I opted for florals. The sentiments comes from another FREE Sale-A-Bration item, Thanks A Bunch.
Favored Flowers Thank You Card Idea
This card was designed using items from our recent Mystery Stamping for an online Team Gathering. I played around with the Favored Flowers DSP and Basic Black mat to create interesting layers of vertical panels. The sentiment was stamped in Craft White and I also added the embellishments to finish.
Easy Treat Box with Favored Flowers DSP
This easy treat box measures 1-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ and made from a 3-3/4″ x 12″ Favored Flowers DSP. I fussy cut another flower and changed the leaves around. The lovely sentiment is from Thanks A Bunch as well. And it’s held closed with the Frayed Ribbon, which was added as a FREE item during SAB for February!
How to make an easy floral treat box using pretty papers
- Favored Flowers DSP – 3-3/4″ x 12″
- Short edge on top, score at 1/1-4 & 2-1/2″
- Turn 90˚, score at 3-1/2″, 4-3/4″, 8-1/4″ & 9-1/2″
- Fold and burnish all score lines
- Cut all side score lines and fold into a box
- Use Frayed Ribbon for closure with a Mini Glue Dot
- Decorate with a flower and Linen Thread
- Finish with the sentiment and Brushed Metallic Dots
I hope you enjoyed these projects. I might just have to re-create the card layout again using the purple floral DSP design in the pack!
