Stamping Sunday Blog Hop 2021-2023 In Colors
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop. The theme this month is 2021-2023 In Colors. And I am sharing 2 projects using the new In Colors with Hand-Penned Petals bundle.
The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. New 2021-2023 In Colors
As always there are 5 new In Colors with the launch of the Annual Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!

I love how they were revealed this year, with short video clips containing clues which built the excitement and anticipation. I managed to guess 4 out of 5 but I still haven’t decided which one is my favourite. Can I choose all of them?!
We also shared an In Color Personality Quiz over on our Facebook page last week and I am Polished Pink. Not completely 100% accurate with the description but I do love this colour.
Polished Pink Hand-Penned Thanks Card
For my card, I opted to concentrate on one In Color, mixing different Polished Pink products with Basic White card. This card can easily be adapted to all the other In Colors as all products I’ve used are available in all In Colors.
I embossed the Basic White layer with Parisian Flourish design and splattered Polished Pink with the Stampin’ Blends. I then layered the In Color DSP and Open Weave Ribbon for more texture and tone. The floral die cut from Penned Flowers was adhered using rolled up Mini Glue Dots as well as the fussy cut sentiment. I then finished the card with the In Color Jewels.
In Colors Hand-Penned Floral Tea Box
For my 3D, I decided to decorate the 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ Acetate Box which I filled with individually wrapped tea bags. I made use of all the In Colors, stamping and colouring the Hand-Penned flower image.
The flowers were stamped with Polished Pink in 1st and 2nd Generation inks. I then filled in the rest with Light Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends. The stem and leaves were coloured in Soft Succulent after, leaving some areas white for the highlights.
I experimented with the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon with the Heat Tool and loved the curled effect. They were a little unruly to my liking so I fixed some in place with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then finished the box with the die cut leaves and Polished Pink Loose Flower Flourish.
