Colouring Hey Girlfriend For A Handmade Spring Card with A Wreath

Welcoming Spring with a Wreath Card

For my Spring card, I decided to mix Wreath Builder Dies with one of the Hey Girlfriend image and sentiment.

The die cuts were easily coloured in Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo inks with the smooshing technique. This was achieved by dabbing ink on Silicone Craft Sheet, spritz water and then lay the die cuts on top. I added the splatters of Just Jade ink on the embossed layer using the fine tip Water Painter.

How To Make A Spring Card with A Wreath and Hey Girlfriend

1. Prepare a tent fold Thick Basic White cardbase and a Basic White layer (1cm OR 3/8″ smaller than the card front).
2. Emboss Layer 1 Basic White card using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
3. Splatter Just Jade ink on the embossed layer using Water Painter.
4. Die cut a leafy wreath and 3 flowers from Wreath Builder Dies set on Basic White card.
5. Add colours to die cuts with Smooshing Technique; Mint Macaron for the wreath and Flirty Flamingo flowers.
6. Adhere the wreath on the layer towards the left then cut off any excess before adding on the cardbase.
7. Stamp Hey Girlfriend image, colour in Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers and fussy cut.
8. Stamp the sentiment on Basic White card, trim the edges if needed then add a strip of Pool Party card underneath.
9. Add the 2 flowers flat on the wreath then adhere the girl and sentiment using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
10. Fold Pool Party Sheer Ribbon in half then tie a bow using Linen Thread. Add on the wreath using Mini Glue Dots.
11. Finish the card with the small flower and Pastel Pearls.
