Hello and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here sharing card ideas for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop using Stampin’ Up! Coming Home set from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I’m so excited to be hopping with the crew again. It’s been a while as we do not have many sets from the Mini Catalogue. If you’re following the hop already, you may have arrived here from Stampin-Style by Mike Funke. I can’t wait to see all the the crew’s projects with the Coming Home stamp set. So be sure to hop all the way around by clicking the ‘Next Blog’ button at the end of this blog post for more inspirations.

This set from the Trimming The Town Suite has 12 Photopolymer line image designs and comes as a bundle with the Home Together Dies. I have used All The Trimmings embellishments and ribbon from the suite as well for my 2 cards in this hop.

#simplestamping Coming Home with Trimming The Town DSP

The idea for this card comes from the Designer Series Paper colour and the stamp design reminding me of a blueprint image. Although there are 4 layers on this card, it is quick to do with just one stamping!

I added shimmer on the door and windows with Wink of Stella once the ink dried to keep the paper clean. The stamp set doesn’t come with any sentiments, which makes this set ideal for all year crafting. The DSP does have seasonal sentiments in different languages which I made use of.

Coming Home with Poinsettia Petals Sentiment

Slightly stepped up card front with the use of Water Painters to add Cinnamon Cider colour on the house. The sentiment stamped in Cherry Cobbler fits perfectly for this set and I added Wonderful Gems this time. I kept the card front simple as this card has got a wonderful pop up surprise inside….

Isn’t it great?! A whole town greets you as you open the card! I kept the colouring simple on this card sample, using the same technique at the front. The background were repeatedly stamped using 3 different Coming Home designs in one acrylic block and Pear Pizzazz ink. Then finished with the Cherry Cobbler sentiment, again from Poinsettia Petals.

I’m in the process of creating a PDF/Video Tutorial for this pop up card. So do subscribe to our mailing list or follow us on social media to be notified when it’s available.
