Guest Designer for Global Design Project

Hello, Barry here. I cant quite believe it, but I was lucky enough to be picked as the winner for the Global Design Project #GDP261 colour challenge last month.

As the winner I was invited to take part in this weeks Colour Challenge #GDP265 as a Guest Designer. WOW, I’m so honoured to be part of this months challenge with a group of very talented designers.

Global Design Project #GDP265 Colour Challenge

So this weeks colour challenge is to use Costal Cabana, Smoky Slate and a FREE choice colour. Take a look at what the rest of the Designers did by clicking on the image below, then use this as inspiration to take part yourself? Who knows, you may win and be a Guest Designer like me next month.

I really enjoyed playing with this selection of colours. My FREE choice was was Balmy Blue and I used the gorgeous Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. I paired it with the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set & Dies, Winter Snow Embossing Folder and the Triple Banner Punch.

As this was a colour challenge I decided to use Smoky Slate cardstock as the base card and use Coastal Cabana and Whisper White card as the Mat & Layers. As I mentioned, Balmy Blue was my chosen FREE choice colour but I didn’t want to use too much of it. So I used the Triple Banner Punch to create a (you guessed it) banner with Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper to go behind the snowflakes.

The snowflakes were stamped in Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana and die cut out using the coordinating So Many Snowflakes Dies. The Sentiment also came from the Snowflake wishes stamp set and was a perfect sentiment to go with the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. Unfortunately there is no die to cut out the sentiment so it was fussy cut using our Paper Snips.

The whole piece is uses the Winter Snow embossing folder as a background and is so effective just on Whisper White card stock.
