Thinking of You Cute Christmas Friends Bear #GDP462
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here with a card idea for the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP462 using Stampin’ Up! Christmas Friends.
Global Design Project Challenge
The GDP design team creates Stampin’ Up! inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Monday. Use the card sketch image below for inspiration this week and share your papercraft project.
Christmas Friends Stamp Set
Make the cutest Christmas projects with the Christmas Friends Stamp Set. Perfect for card making and tags, wish merry Christmas with the cutest wild animals dressed for winter! Make any of them the focal point of your card, add the tree image if you want to build a scene, and pair with one of the sentiments from the set. The open line-art animal images are great for colouring possibilities so pick your favourite Christmas colours and colouring technique, and send Christmas wishes in the cutest way!
Thinking of You Cute Christmas Friends Bear
I stamped the bear in Memento ink then coloured with various Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. This was then cut with the coordinating die from the bundle.
For the panel, I stamped the large tree TWICE in Old Olive ink. Then used the Decorative Masks and Blending Brushes to add colours. I also used Copper Clay Light Stampin’ Blends to add the tree trunk detail. Followed by splatters of Clear Wink of Stella.
The background layer was simply embossed with the Forever Plaid design. Finishing with the Country Lace DSP, sentiment (from Frosted Forest) and Earth Tones Shimmer Gems.

Kathryn
Sorry but I can’t figure out which tree you’ve stamped? Love your card and you’ve said you stamped the large tree twice but not the tree from Christmas Friends and looks different from the one in Frosted Forest. Could you please share more on how you did the trees? Thanks so much.
Barry
Hi Kathryn
Jay used the masks from the Frosted Forest Bundle to colour the large stamped image. You could also do the with just using the masks. He made a video without using the stamped image here https://www.youtube.com/live/x9cjQXUXrlg?si=kkFAgdtMDZlw60Ho
Hope that helps
Barry
