Stamping Sunday Blog Hop ~ New Cheerful Daisies for Spring
Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop. The theme this month is ‘From Little Seeds’ and the design team has created Spring or Fall projects. And for my card I used the new Cheerful Daisies Bundle from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue.
The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. Do make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team’s creative projects from the links at the end of this post.
Cheerful Daisies Spring Card
The Cheerful Daisies Bundle is perfect for a Spring Card. I also used other new items from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue which I’m so very lucky to receive early.
I stamped the small bunch of daisies in Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Lemon Lime Twist. Then I ink blended more Lemon Lime Twist around the edges.
The background started off with the bokeh technique inspired by a recent technique class. But I wanted it to be more hazy so I added more pigment ink to blur the edges of most of the circles.
The daisy die cuts are connected to each other so they’re easy to arrange on the card. They were coloured in Copper Clay, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist and Pretty Peacock using Small Blending Brushes. I shaped the detailed daisy die cuts before adhering to add more texture
I white embossed the sentiment on Granny Apple Green to make it stand out more against the background. It was also die cut using a label die from the bundle.
To finish I added Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics and Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems which comes from the same Fresh As A Daisy Suite.
Thanks again for stopping by. Until next time, BYEEEEE!
