Peaceful Deer Card with Gift Card Pocket

Measurements

• Evening Evergreen Cardstock ~ 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ or 14.8cm x 21cm (score the long side in the center)
• Distressed Gold Specialty Paper ~ 3-3/4″ x 5″ or 9.5cm x 13.8cm (optional: use Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut out the center to save for another project)
• Texture Chic SDSP ~ 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ or 9cm x 13.3cm
• Scrap of Petal Pink Cardstock
• Scraps of Basic White Cardstock
• INSIDE PIECES
  • Scrap of Basic White Cardstock
  • Basic White Cardstock ~ 4″ x 2-3/4″ or 11.8cm x 7.5cm
  • Scrap of Petal Pink Cardstock
  • Texture Chic SDSP ~ 5-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ or 14cm x 11.5cm

12 Weeks of Christmas Ideas #27 Tutorial – How To Make A Card with Gift Card Pocket

1. Stamp deer and rabbit on scraps of Basic White Cardstock.
2. Use Stampin’ Blends to color the deer and rabbit.
3. Stamp the spot on the small deer with Crumb Cake.
4. Stamp the sentiment with Evening Evergreen on the Petal Pink Cardstock scrap.
5. Add a fluffy tail to the rabbit by adding a small amount of Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to the tail, then heating with the Heat Tool.
6. Fussy cut around the deer and rabbit.
7. Use Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut out the sentiment.
8. Adhere the ribbon to the back of the sentiment, using Tear & Tape or Stampin’ Seal.
9. Layer the pieces on the card front, as shown in photo. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for the standing deer and Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment.

Inside of the Card

1. Stamp ‘Merry Christmas’ on the Basic White Cardstock
2. Stamp the deer with Memento Ink, then color with blends and punch out with Deer Punch.
3. Stamp ‘from all of us’ on Petal Pink Cardstock Scrap.
4. Use Mini Pocket Envelope Dies to cut out the sentiment and envelope.
5. Adhere the Basic White Cardstock to the inside of the card, as shown.
6. Assemble the envelope and adhere to the inside of the card. Keeping the opening toward the center of the card with help keep the gift card from sliding out.
7. Attach the sentiment piece and deer as shown on PDF.
