12 Weeks of Christmas Ideas #24 Tutorial – How To Make A Criss Cross Card

  1. Cut 2 pieces of Basic White (thick) card stock 10.5cm x 29.7cm (4 1/4″ x 11″). Score at 14.8cm (5 ½”)
  2. Cut from the score line to the bottom right corner on a diagonal on both pieces.
  3. Adhere the 2 pieces together so that the triangles are in the front and “criss cross” over each other.
  4. Cut both pieces of Designer Series Paper 10cm x 14.3cm (4″ x 5 1/4″) in half on the diagonal.
  5. Adhere one piece to each of the triangles (you will have 2 halves left for another card).
  6. Adhere the card base together by applying liquid glue (or Tear & Tape) along the bottom of the overlapping triangles.
  7. Die cut a Basic White circle shape from the Painted Label dies and adhere to the centre of the card base.
  8. Die cut a gnome from the DSP and adhere to the centre of the circle with dimensionals.
  9. Cut Basic White card stock 9.5cm x 13.8cm (3 3/8″ x 5 1/8″) for the card insert. Stamp “Seasons Greetings” in Pacific Point ink across the top.
  10. Die cut one of the toadstools from the DSP and adhere to the left of the panel, below the greeting.
  11. Cut a tab from Pacific Point card stock using the smaller label from the Painted Labels dies set (or you could use a circle or any other shape).
  12. Cut in half and adhere one part to the front of the Basic White card insert – this forms the tab to make it easy to remove the card insert. Insert into the card base
  13. Finish off by embellishing with Fine Sparkle Gems
