Sweetest Christmas Peace & Joy Card
Measurements
- Real Red cardstock – 21cm x 14.85cm (or 8 ½” x 5 ½”)
- Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper:
- Small candy canes – 10.1cm x 14.45cm (or 4 1/16” x 5 5/16”)
- Red with white spots – 4.5cm x 13.5cm (or 1 7/8” x 5”)
- Garden Green cardstock – 8.9cm x 12cm (or 3 ½” x 4 ¾”)
- Basic White cardstock – 6.7cm x 10cm (or 2 5/8” x 3 15/16”)
- Real Red cardstock – 6.4cm x 1.9cm (or 2 ½” x ¾”)
- White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon – 13cm and 18cm (or 5 1/8” and 7 1/16”)
12 Weeks of Christmas Ideas #21 Tutorial
- Cut Real Red cardstock into a 21cm x 14.85cm (or 8 1/2” x 5 ½”) piece. Score and fold at 10.5cm (or 4 ¼”).
- Cut small candy cane patterned Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper into a 10.1cm x 14.45cm piece (or 4 1/16” x 5 5/16”).
- Cut red with white dot patterned Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper into a 4.5cm x 13.5cm (or 1 7/8” x 5”) piece. Adhere to the small candy cane paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, ensuring an even border around the top, bottom and right side.
- Wrap the 13cm (or 5 1/8”) piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon across the Designer Series Paper and adhere to the back using Mini Glue Dots. Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the folded Real Red card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Cut Garden Green cardstock into an 8.9cm x 12cm (or 3 ½” x 4 ¾”) piece. Die cut using the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. Adhere towards the left side of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Cut Basic White cardstock into a 6.7cm x 10cm (or 2 5/8” x 3 15/16”) piece. Adhere to the Garden Green scalloped rectangle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Fussy cut 2 large candy canes that face opposite directions from the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper. Glitz the thick coloured stripes of the candy canes using Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. Adhere the candy canes crossed over each other to the centre of the Basic White rectangle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Cut Real Red cardstock into a 6.4cm x 1.9cm (or 2 ½” x ¾”) piece. Banner each end using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.
- Using VersaMark ink, stamp “Peace & Joy” from Trimming The Tree Stamp Set onto the centre of the Real Red label. Cover in White Embossing Powder and heat with Heat Tool until melted and glossy.
- Adhere sentiment label to the candy canes using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Tie a bow from the 18cm (or 7 1/16”) piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Adhere on the ribbon strip next to the Garden Green scalloped rectangle using a Mini Glue Dot.
- Embellish using Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
