Treats Not Tricks Fun Gift Packaging Ideas with Window Wishes

Hi and welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK. It’s Jay Soriano here with the Stamping Sunday design team blog hop with the theme of Treats Not Tricks. I am sharing a mini treat bag and gift card holder ideas. Which were inspired by a #simplestamping Window Wishes card.

The Stamping Sunday design team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world. We share themed card ideas and papercraft inspirations every 2nd Sunday of the month. Do make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team’s creative projects from the links at the end of this post.

#simplestamping Window Wishes Card Inspiration

I created this card from a recent livestream using the garland stamp to create a border. I repeatedly stamped the tree inside in 1st & 2nd Generation inks before embellishing with the Old Olive Washi Tape and Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine. The sentiment comes from Go To Greetings with the sides decoratively cut with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. You can catch the replay on our YouTube channel HERE

Window Wishes Mini Treat Bag Idea

I took the colour combination and repeat stamping from the card for this Mini Treat Bag. The window frame die was used for the handles. Also adding a sparkly closure by covering a Basic White card with the Old Olive Glitter Washi Tape. Which was then die cut using the tag die from Candy Cane Dies.

The tree die cut is used to lock the mini treat bag in place. And I couldn’t help but to finish it up with 3 pre dried Real Red Peralized Enamel Effects. This bag holds a mini bag of Skittles but I’m sure you can find more treats that can fit inside.

Window Wishes Gift Card Holder Idea

With die cutting the window frame and cutting the tag in half, I was left with a few off cuts. So I incorporated these into my next project and created a simple gift card holder.

I stamped the garland on the Basic White cover then used the Best Label Punch (not pictured) so the gift card can be easily pulled out. Before adhering the Evening Evergreen closure, I stamped the trees in Old Olive. The other half tag was added and locked with another die cut tree. Then finished with 2 pre dried Real Red PEEBs.
