Ink Blending Brushes with Butterfly Brilliance Stamp
Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s Jay Soriano here with a card idea for The Spot creative challenge. I have created an ink blended background using Blending Brushes with Butterfly Brilliance topper.

The Spot design team creates Stampin’ Up! inspirations for a weekly card making challenge every Tuesday. It’s a Technique Challenge this week with Ink Blending – one of my favourites especially with the Blending Brushes!
Ink Blending Brushes
This tool makes blending inks easy and smoothly. It comes as a set of 3 and is washable so you can reuse for any colours. If you love crafting with a lot of colours in one go though, maybe order a couple of sets 😉
For my card I blended Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry and Petal Pink inks on a Basic White layer card. This was done after stamping the Butterfly Brilliance images with Versamark ink (watermark stamping).
I then added Memento ink through one of the stencils from Basic Pattern Decorative Masks.
Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set
There are 6 butterflies on this one large stamp set. I normally use the Stamparatus to stamp the whole thing and just use what I need for particular projects. For this card, I used the largest image and coloured it with a couple of the new 2021-2023 In Colors; Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia. I also used Smoky Slate and white pigment pen to create depth and interest on the butterfly topper.
The Butterfly Brilliance is on the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue but the trim, wooden elements and You Are Amazing (sentiment) will be retiring soon. So get them before they’re gone!
